This box began life as a salt box for my kitchen, but I soon realized it's a good size to store rings and other small pieces of jewelry, keepsakes, and the like. It's 2 1/4 in. square and 1 7/16 in. deep inside. The box body is made from basswood. The interior is painted a light shade of blue, and the exterior comes in four colors: pale green, oyster white, marigold yellow, and deep blue. Scroll through all of the photos to see images of the colors. I pair the marigold yellow and oyster white boxes with a walnut lid, the deep blue with curly maple, and the pale green with spruce. The pull is made from cocobolo and will darken with age and use. The box does not come with a ring cushion, but I am happy to make one for you (adds $25 to price). I'll pick the fabric, but I promise it will look fantastic.
